What will you do?

• Record & mix live performances in a studio setting
• Create original tracks using synthesis, sampling and sound design
• Explore music technology’s impact on the sounds and styles that shape modern music
• Train your ears to analyse and understand how tracks are produced

• Studio recording project (20%)
• Technology-based composition (20%)
• Listening & analysing exam (25%)
• Producing & analysing exam – a hands-on practical exam (35%)

• Four GCSEs at grade 6 or above
• A grade 5 or higher in GCSE English
• A grade 5 or higher in GCSE Mathematics
• A minimum of a grade 6 or above in Music
